Bruun Idun – West Seattle

📍 Location: West Seattle, Washington
📂 Type: Activity

Why we went:
Part of the Pacific Northwest troll series and an easy stop within Seattle—no ferry or major planning required.

What it is:
A large wooden troll sculpture by Thomas Dambo, built from reclaimed materials and integrated into a natural setting within West Seattle.

Experience:

  • Short walk to reach the troll
  • Easy to access compared to others
  • Quick stop, but still interesting to explore

👍 What we liked:

  • Very accessible location
  • Unique public art in a neighborhood setting
  • Nice walk in Lincoln Park with great water views of Puget Sound
  • Easy to combine with other Seattle stops

👎 What we didn’t:

  • Less of a “destination” feel compared to island trolls
  • Short visit overall

💡 Tips:

  • Good as part of a larger Seattle outing
  • Check exact location before heading out
  • Best as a quick stop rather than a standalone trip

👥 Who This Is For

  • Quick outings
  • Families
  • People exploring Seattle neighborhoods and parks

🏁 Verdict: WORTH-IT 🔵

“Easy to visit and worth a quick stop, especially if you’re already nearby.”
