Why we went:
A classic Pacific Northwest stop—easy to get to, scenic, and a good anchor for a quick day trip.


What it is:
A 268-foot waterfall with an upper observation deck and nearby trails. One of the most accessible and well-known scenic spots in Washington.


Experience:

  • Very easy access from parking
  • Short walk to main viewpoint
  • Can be busy, especially on weekends
  • Good mix of quick stop or longer visit if exploring trails

👍 What we liked:

  • Impressive waterfall with minimal effort
  • Great views right from the main overlook
  • Easy to combine with other nearby stops

👎 What we didn’t:

  • Can feel crowded
  • More of a short stop than a full activity

  • Go early or on weekdays to avoid crowds
  • Check out lower trail if you want more than just the overlook
